What's new

DWithEase keeps evolving.

New improvements, fixes and features are released as DWithEase continues to evolve alongside the Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystem.

2026

Modern React architecture, On-Demand Sandbox log controls, OnePass vault lifespan, and Discover

  • Architecture
  • WebDAV
  • OnePass
  • Discover

A landmark release: the options and popup apps are completely rebuilt in modern React and TypeScript for speed and reliability. WebDAV logs now feature an improved log viewer with Empty and Delete support on On-Demand Sandboxes, OnePass introduces customizable vault lifespans, and News evolves into Discover with calm recommendations and privacy controls.

Modern React & TypeScript architecture

  • Complete modernization and port from AngularJS to React and TypeScript.
  • Noticeably faster startup times, reduced extension bundle size, and streamlined UI responsiveness.
  • Cleaner, more compact layout across both the popup and options screens.

WebDAV & On-Demand Sandbox log controls

  • Modernized log viewer with responsive streaming and optimized memory usage for large log files.
  • Empty and Delete operations now work reliably on On-Demand Sandboxes (ODS).
  • Fixed an issue where rapid log preview toggling could disrupt the page layout.

OnePass — customizable vault lifespan

  • Vault lifespan is yours again: choose how long credentials remain unlocked (session, 8 hours, 24 hours, or persistent).
  • High-grade AES-256 client-side encryption keeps all passwords protected under a single master passphrase.

News evolves into Discover

  • News is now Discover: calm, helpful cards for adjacent ForkPoint tools (CatalogSpark, IntentFusion, AgenticStorefront, RetailVerify, RetailPace).
  • Shared 14-day frequency capping across automatic placements — no spam, badges, or desktop ads.
  • Granular user controls: dismiss cards with "Not for me" or pause promotions for 30 days anytime.

Sandboxes — environment badges

  • Clear visual environment badges (DEV, STG, PRD, ODS) on every sandbox row in both popup and options.
  • Quickly identify sandbox tiers at a glance before triggering actions.

Custom plugins land in Business Manager, plus production controls injection

  • Business Manager
  • Plugins
  • Smart Search

Custom user scripts and styles ship for real: write JavaScript and CSS plugins for Business Manager, run them where you choose, and share them with the community. The release also restores controls SFCC hides in production and refreshes Smart Search.

Custom Plugins — custom user scripts and styles

  • You can now add your own custom JavaScript and CSS plugins for BM.
  • Plugins can run on all BM pages, on matching URLs, or with custom logic.
  • Built-in editor with syntax highlighting and quick enable/disable controls.
  • Import, export, and manage plugins from the new Plugins tab.
  • Help grow the DWE ecosystem by sharing your plugins with the community on github.com/ForkPoint/dwithease.

Catalogs — New / Delete / Select controls in development environments

  • Added the missing catalog selection checkboxes, along with the New and Delete controls.

Production controls injection

A new setting under Settings → Business Manager: Enable Production Controls Injection. When enabled, missing controls are injected in production instances.

  • Merchant Tools › Products and Catalogs › Catalogs — New / Delete / Select controls
  • Administration › Site Development › Custom Object Types › Attribute Definitions — New / Delete controls
  • Administration › Site Development › Custom Object Types › Attribute Groups — New Attribute Group controls
  • Administration › Site Development › Site Import & Export — import controls and improved Site Export

Manual logout

  • Fixed an issue where the extension would log the user back in after a manual logout.
  • Renamed the manual logout parameter to 'dwe-logout' so it does not interfere with other functionality.

Smart Search

  • Updated the look and feel of Smart Search so it fits SFCC's new search bar.
  • Site Preference search index visibility: a warning when there is no index, an index status header above the results, and a proper no-results page.

DWE Plugins — your own scripts and styles in Business Manager

  • Business Manager
  • Plugins

The first release of custom plugins for Business Manager: bring your own JavaScript and CSS, decide where each plugin runs, and move plugins between machines and teammates.

  • Share your plugins with the community through the DWithEase GitHub page.

2025

Automatic login realigned with Account Manager, and one-click sharing

  • Account Manager
  • Business Manager

Salesforce upgraded the Account Manager infrastructure again; this release keeps automatic login — including 2FA/TOTP — working through it.

Account Manager — 2FA/TOTP verification code

  • Adapted the 2FA/TOTP automatic login flow on the Account Manager login page to the new Salesforce Account Manager infrastructure upgrade.

Account Manager — August release adaptations

  • Adapted the automatic login flow of the Account Manager login page to the upgraded infrastructure.

Share DWithEase with ease

  • Added a new CTA in the Business Manager header so you can share DWithEase with your team in one click.

Content asset downloads and meta import validation fixed

  • Business Manager
  • Fixes

Two fixes in the modern Business Manager UI, both on flows that previously left you stuck on a loading state.

Download content asset not working

  • Fixed an issue where the Download Content Asset button would get stuck on “Creating content asset” and never produce or download the XML export.

Meta validation auto-refresh endless polling

  • Fixed an issue where meta import validation would poll forever, leaving the screen blank and eventually logging you out after failed retries.

Ready for the July 2025 Account Manager changes

  • Account Manager
  • Smart Search
  • Fixes

Login selectors updated ahead of the Salesforce Account Manager infrastructure upgrade planned for July 2025, plus two Business Manager fixes.

Account Manager — July release automatic login adaptations

  • Adapted the login, password and login button selectors on the Account Manager login page for the July 2025 infrastructure upgrade.

Fixes

  • BM Toolbar — the Cache link/menu was not working properly and generated an error log in WebDAV when the action failed.
  • Smart Search — Custom Preferences Search changed the current URL and lost the selected site, so no further searches were possible after clicking a preference or group.

2024

Roadmap link in Options, documentation search and auto-login fixes

  • Options
  • Account Manager
  • Fixes

The roadmap became reachable straight from the extension, so feature requests and votes no longer need a detour through the website.

Roadmap link added to Options — About page

Use the roadmap to preview what is coming next, and to suggest or vote for new features and bug fixes.

Fixes

  • Popup documentation search — search indexes failed to build after install or update, which looked like a search returning no results.
  • Account Manager auto login — the extension filled the password into the username field and left the password step empty.

2022

Localized content asset exports, clean breadcrumb copy and WebDAV polish

  • Business Manager
  • WebDAV
  • Options

Content asset download improvements

  • Content asset download now exports a fully localized XML file.
  • Downloading a content asset from a shared library now appends the library-id to the exported XML.

New — copy clean breadcrumb path

  • Most popular BM pages get a new action button next to the breadcrumb path: copy it to the clipboard without any generated links.

BM Toolbar — paste path from clipboard

  • A new action in the Cartridge Path menu applies and refreshes the cartridge path straight from the clipboard.

WebDAV improvements

  • Better visibility and a way to clear filters when a file or folder search returns zero results.
  • Increased spacing and font size for the tree-view action icons on hover.

Options improvements

  • Clearer feedback when a TOTP secret is invalid, and the ability to fully delete a TOTP secret key instead of leaving an empty masked field.
  • Field validation rules on the alias fields when creating or editing a sandbox configuration.

Fixes

  • Options — accounts could not be edited and saved.
  • Smart Search — an order search would redirect to the order search page without running the search.
  • WebDAV tree view — some text was unreadable in light mode.
